Enjoy a premium half day wine tour on the legendary Golden Mile Wine Trail in the South Okanagan!
What makes us special? Your tour guide is either a Naturalist or Biologist which makes for a more informative and interesting experience!
The wines of the Golden Mile Trail are distinctive with their own unique flavors and aromas. This is due to the rare minerality found only here in Canada’s only true desert. The hot dry summers create the perfect climate for late-ripening premium grapes. This area is also known for their bold red wines, so make sure to try a variety. Your tour guide is not only knowledgeable and passionate about wine varietals and the unique geography of the Golden Mile, but also about nature. Your interpretive guides may be either a Naturalist or a Biologist! Either will teach you about the ecology, wildlife, native plants and cultural history of the Okanagan Valley. Feel free to ask questions, plus you may also get to see some local wildlife.
The length of the tour is 3 hours at the wineries, with stops at 4 of these wineries and from 16-20 tastings. (Total time spent on the tour will be over 3 hours when travel time is included.)
Pickup times depend on location, (the vendor will confirm). Wine tours are designed to reach the first winery at opening time, which in the high season is 10 am, therefore pick-up times will vary. For example Kelowna guests for the Golden Mile Wine Tour should expect to depart at 9am or earlier, while Osoyoos guests will be picked up between 9:30 and 10am.
Your professional driver will ensure you receive door to door transportation on a luxury air-conditioned tour bus. This transport has extra large windows to ensure you can see the sights unobstructed. Tasting fees are also included, as are chilled bottled water and Gatorade.
A minimum of four guests total is required to confirm the tour.
Please note – gratuities are not included. Alternate wineries may be offered other than those listed if required due to local circumstances or events
