Join us on this Unique Indigenous Excursion on the South Thompson River
Paddle the river guided by a local Indigenous Cultural Knowledge Keeper as they share the legends, history and culture of the Secwépemc. Experience this authentic canoe journey the same way that local Indigenous People have for centuries. Travel through traditional hunting and gathering lands as you glide with the gentle current of the river. View wildlife on the shoreline as you hear stories that have been passed down orally generation to generation.
After canoeing down the river, you’ll dock at Pritchard Bridge where you will enjoy a VIP wine tasting and antipasto picnic from Harpers Trail Winery. This picturesque winery features wines that reflect the region’s unique terroir with gorgeous minerality and crisp acidity.
This 6 hour tour runs every Sunday during the summer months, from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Your meeting location will be confirmed upon booking.
Please note: There must be a minimum of 8 people for the tour to go ahead.
Be sure to check out our other Secwépemc (pronounced suh-wep-muh) Indigenous tours too!
